Visions and perspectives
from the social world

It is not easy to find the words to describe the idea that inspired the Angologiro. It is not easy because our daily work is mostly based on listening to emotions, fractures, stories and needs that do not have many places in which to express themselves. We listen carefully and this implies already a hypothesis of answer, to be shared.
In a nutshell, that's been Parsec's activity since its inception: the social work in a city, Rome, which - besides being an emotional and elective place - is a challenge and a continued workshop of civil coexistence.
The Angologiro is only created now as we believe that this is the moment to take the floor on our themes, using our languge that has so far inspired our reports, diaries and research. This is the moment to speak out with an ironic language, still fresh and shared, that does not mean to trivialise or exploit the discomfort.
A voice to further reviews, in which we will explain our theoretical approaches, and another voice to describe our look at the reality; and a language to evoke the stories collected first-hand by the operators. Those stories that disoriented and moved us and that are to be shared in order to pass a message on what happens close to us, even if they are far from the personal and practical experience of every day.
We would like to contribute to keep the eyes and the minds open, by proposing those fruitful contaminations that recently are generating new intuitions: for example with architecture, contemporary art, new styles of consumption and behaviours, the law, the legality and its new threats or with international collaborations.
For all of the above reasons, we are here now and we hope, as this path unwinds, to cross your curious and cautious looks.

"STADTLUFT MACHT FREI", L'aria della città rende liberi. Come è lontana questa idea di città da quella di Le Corbusier compiuta nella metropoli attuale. La qualità della città, nella visione di chi fa lavoro sociale, è data dalla felicità sociale che produce e non dalla somma dei suoi edifici, strade e piazze.
